70-410 Objective 3.1 – Configuring Hyper-V Resource Metering on Server 2012 R2 Lab 4

This lab is on Resource Metering inside of Hyper-V via PowerShell. This lab follows Objective 3.1 Creating and Configuring Virtual Machine Settings for the 70-410 ExamRef series. We will examine how to use PowerShell to see all the working VMs on a local box and a remote Hyper-V server. We will see how to use the cmdlets to get information from a remote Hyper-V server. We will see how to turn on Resource Metering via PowerShell both server wide and for a particular Virtual Machine. We will also examine how to change the Resource Metering save interval via PowerShell. We’ll examine how to retrieve the statistics for Resource Metering via PowerShell and the cmdlet measure-vm. I will also discuss historical statistics vs. Resource Metering. We will also examine how to disable Resource Metering via PowerSell.
