70-410 Objective 2.1 Notes Part 1 – Configuring File and Share Access

This is the first part of a three part lecture notes series on the Microsoft Exam 70-410 Objective of Configuring File and Share Access. In this part I will cover planning for folder shares and file access for Microsoft Server 2012 R2. However most of the concepts can be applied to other versions of Windows Server. I also cover the differences between SMB and NFS in the File Services Role. I have detailed the differences between SMB and NFS for Quick Sharing and Advanced Sharing as well as SMB Application Sharing. I also briefly cover Sharing Options of Access Based Enumeration, Caching of Shares, BranchCache and Encrypted Data Access. The video also details the Three As of Administration which is a foundation concept for all Authentication, Authorization and Auditing.
