70-410 Objective 3.2 – Creating and Configuring VM Storage on Hyper-V 2012 R2 Lab 1

In this video we will be investigating Objective 3.2 Creating and Configuring Virtual Machine Storage on Hyper-V. In particular we will look at the Virtual Machine storage settings for a Hyper-V VM. We will look at the differences between a Generation 2 and Generation 1 VM. Specifically the primary storage of the VM between the SCSI controller and the IDE controller. We look at the options to add another virtual hard drive to a Generation 2 Virtual Machine. We also look at how the Virtual Machine see the disk added. We will also see how the Virtual Machine see expansion of a VHD and what you need to do at the VM level to use the space.
